At the centre of the Renew Bohemian universe sits a small but dedicated team of five, based in Australia.
We all wear many hats, from design and production planning to photography, social media, customer care, right down to packing and shipping, and every role is guided by a shared love of textiles and slow fashion.
Our team feels like a family, working closely together to bring you thoughtful, wearable pieces that celebrate individuality and sustainability. We believe that strong, transparent collaboration starts at home, and it shows in everything we create.
Our production partners in India and Indonesia are an essential part of the Renew family.
We don’t just outsource production - we collaborate. Each artisan brings skill and creativity to every piece, whether its hand-stitching kantha, thoughtfully matching colours to assemble garments, or creating our Basics range with soft, breathable fabrics that are kinder on the body and the earth, including organic cotton and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fabrics.
We choose partners who share our values: safe workplaces, ethical practices, and a commitment to quality. Working alongside them allows us to support small businesses and women artisans, ensuring each piece is crafted with intention and respect.
Waste Not, Want Not
As the name Renew suggests, we’re pretty big on 'waste not, want not' sustainability vibes. Apart from the fact that we love the uniqueness of clothing crafted from preloved Indian cottons and silks, and the organic feel of eco-friendly fibres, we also love that they’re playing a part in reducing our reliance on natural resources by giving beautiful fabrics another life or leaning into planet prioritising materials.
But, as well as the fabrics that make up our collections, we also take other steps to minimise our impacts wherever we can…
- Recycled cardboard mailers, compostable labels made from sugarcane waste, water-based kraft paper tape.
- Kantha 'scrap' ribbons.
- No plastic garment bags.
- Reclaimed coat hangers and rails.
- Second-hand tech, photography gear, props and styling pieces.
- Reclaimed office furniture.
- We even use refurbished phones dammit!
…and, of course, we’re also downing organic, fair-trade tea and coffee while snapping photos, listing collections and putting your orders together.
We’re not perfect, but we’re having a red hot go at being better!
