About Renew Bohemian

We choose handmade, slow fashion over speed and sameness.

Clothing should feel comfortable. Considered. Personal. It should support how you move through the world, not ask you to perform or conform.

At Renew Bohemian, we create handmade clothing as unique as the person that wears it.

Designed in Australia and lovingly crafted in partnership with skilled artisans in India and Indonesia using recycled and eco-friendly fabrics.

Our collections reflect a belief in individuality. We offer expressive, one of a kind clothing, designed to be worn again and again. How they are made, and why, is what connects us.

Different Expressions, One Philosophy

Renew Bohemian

Expressive, one-of-a-kind clothing crafted from recycled kantha and sari textiles. Each garment is naturally unique, carrying traces of its previous life and celebrates colour, texture, and individuality. Made slowly and in small runs, these collections speak to Renew’s approach to conscious, bohemian fashion.

Renew Bohemian Basics

Simple, everyday foundation pieces designed with ethical fashion in mind. Clean shapes and solid colours make them easy to wear and return to. Our Basics are intentionally simple, making them easy to style and wear often. A considered collection made to support daily dressing.

Future Collections

As Renew continues to evolve, new collections will emerge in response to how people live and dress. Each will be guided by the same core values of quality, care, and thoughtful design, while allowing space to explore new materials and forms.

How Renew Came To Be

Renew Vintage was founded in 2008 by Brooke as a vintage clothing business, globally sourcing beautiful, well-made pieces for fellow treasure hunters across Australia, with a particular interest in the fashions of the late-60s and 70s.

In the early years, it was shaped by markets, online selling, and a deep appreciation for textiles with history and character.

How Renew Came To Be

After a decade of growth, a two-year pause spent travelling Australia with her family created space to reflect. The focus shifted toward handmade garments and a slower, more considered approach to sustainable fashion.

From this, Renew Bohemian emerged. What began as vintage evolved into thoughtfully designed collections created through renewal, including pieces that reimagine traditional Indian textiles such as Kantha and Sari fabrics.

How Renew Came To Be

Today, Renew brings together distinct collections under one name, each expressing the same core values in different ways. What started in a spare bedroom has grown into a small but dedicated team based in QLD Australia, working closely with long-term production partners overseas.

While the collections continue to evolve, the heart of the brand always has been and always will be a commitment to quality, community, and sustainability.

Magic Is Woven Into All of Our Fabrics

Every choice we make is intentional.

Across our collections, we work with recycled Kantha and Sari fabrics alongside sustainable fashion materials such as LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and organic cotton. This approach reduces waste while making the most of materials that already exist.

We partner directly with our makers, building long-term relationships based on respect, fair conditions, and shared values. These partnerships are central to how Renew operates and ensures our garments are produced responsibly as part of our commitment to ethical fashion.

Our clothing is handmade with longevity in mind. Small batch production. Considered silhouettes. One-of-a-kind clothing made to be worn, lived in, and returned to, rather than replaced.

Designed With Care and Made To Wear

Humans come in all shapes and sizes.

So we do our best to ensure inclusive sizing, from XS to 3XL. Because comfort and wearability matter. Real bodies deserve clothes that fit well, feel good, and move through life with you.

Quality control is core to our values. While recycled fabrics are naturally unique, every piece is checked, described honestly, and presented with care. What you see is what you get.

Every week we restock our store and invite our community to join the treasure hunt. Some pieces sell quickly. Others wait patiently for the right person. That’s part of the magic.

The Beauty of Kantha

No two textiles are ever the same.

Kantha is a traditional Indian textile technique originating from West Bengal and Bangladesh. Layers of loved cotton saris are hand-sewn together using a simple running stitch, creating fabric rich with texture, colour, and history.

That uniqueness is what draw us in and what defines our collections today. When we create our clothing, each piece carries its own character. Variations in the fabrics are not flaws. They are the point.

Common Queries

Do you ship internationally, and will I need to pay duties or taxes?

Yes, we ship worldwide from Australia. International orders may incur duties or taxes depending on your country’s customs rules. We strongly recommend checking your local requirements before purchasing to avoid any surprises when ordering our clothing internationally.

For our US customers, recent tariff changes mean new duties apply to goods manufactured in India. To ease the impact, Renew currently covers the penalty portion of this tariff. At checkout, you’ll see the remaining tariff amount combined with your shipping cost. All parcels are sent Delivered Duty Paid, so there should be no unexpected charges.

How long will my order take to ship?

All of our handmade clothing is packed and shipped from Australia within 2-3 business days.

  • Australian orders are sent via tracked Regular Parcel Post, with free shipping on orders over $200.
  • International orders are sent via tracked Air Mail and typically arrive within 6-10 business days.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking details by email.

What is shipping protection, and do I need it?

Shipping protection is an optional add-on at checkout that covers your parcel against loss or theft in transit.

Because almost every piece of Renew clothing is one of a kind, replacing an item isn’t always possible. Shipping Protection offers peace of mind if something goes wrong, with a refund or store credit so you can choose another piece if you wish.

What happens if my parcel goes missing?

If you’ve added Shipping Protection and your parcel is lost or stolen, contact us at hello@renewbohemian.com with your order number and tracking details. We’ll investigate and keep you updated throughout the process.

Parcels marked as delivered but not received are assessed case by case, in collaboration with the carrier.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Because every Renew piece is one of a kind and small-batch slow-made, all sales are final.

That said, we truly want you to love your new treasure - if you believe your item is faulty, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We assess returns and exchanges on a case-by-case basis and offer store credit or exchange where appropriate.

How do I choose the right size?

We recommend checking the measurements listed on each product page and comparing them to a similar garment you already own. This gives a more accurate fit than measuring the body alone.

All measurements are taken flat and then doubled to give you the full body circumference.

Note:
Most of our designs fit across a wide range of bodies, from XS through to 3XL, but we also create free-size styles too. If your size isn’t listed as available, it usually means those particular sizes have already found their homes, but don’t worry, we’re always making more!

If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out before purchasing. We’re always happy to help.

Why do some pieces have small marks or variations?

Our handmade clothing is crafted from preloved materials, including Sari silks and Indian cottons. This means occasional quirks such as gentle wear, faint marks, dye inconsitencies or stitching variations can appear.

We see these details as part of the fabric’s story. Any noticeable features that affect wearability are always disclosed in the product description and reflected in the price.

What does sustainability look like at Renew?

Alongside working with recycled fabrics, we use recycled and compostable packaging, avoid plastic garment bags, repurpose materials where possible, and make conscious choices across our studio and shipping processes.

We’re always learning, refining, and doing our best to tread lightly.
