How It Started
In 2008 I founded Renew Vintage, a little brand bringing high-quality vintage clothing, textiles and homewares to treasure hunters both online and at markets around Sydney, Australia. Those were the days of highly successful eBay auctions and a life before Instagram was even imagined.
From there, I moved to Etsy and eventually launched my own website. After a two-year hiatus travelling Australia with my family (hashtag vanlife!), I returned with a new sense of direction.
Renew began to evolve from a vintage destination into something deeper and more intentional. It became grounded in slowing things down and creating wearable pieces with longevity, comfort, and soul while still valuing what already exists. Clothing designed to be lived in, not rushed through seasons or trends.
How It's Going
Today, Renew Bohemian is grounded in re-use, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. What began with recycled Indian cotton kantha has grown into a wider collection that includes sari cottons and silks, and exclusive limited edition designs, alongside our Basics range made from environmentally gentle fabrics such as LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and organic cotton. Each piece is designed in-house and produced in small batches by skilled artisans in India and Indonesia, working with existing materials wherever possible rather than creating new ones.
What started in my living room has now grown into a small but mighty team of five here in Australia. And at the same time, our incredible partners in India have grown alongside us - from a single sewing machine in a basement studio to a three-floor workspace where these textiles are given a new life.

As an entrepreneur, I still wear many hats, but at the heart of it all is my love for these fabrics. They hold a certain kind of magic that’s simply irresistible - they have the power to make you feel like the beautiful, unique soul you are.
Each one-of-one piece is designed in Australia and stitched with care in India, a collaboration that carries both artistry and opportunity. And our newest partnership with manufacturers in Bali extends this same ethos. They help bring our Basics range to life, crafting each piece in safe, supportive environments with the same focus on quality, care, and conscious production that has always guided Renew.
