If you have a passion for slow fashion, sustainability, personal style, conscious living, or simply love to write, we'd love to hear from you.
As you may know by now, one of the most special things about Renew Bohemian has always been the incredible community that surrounds it.
Over the years, we've been lucky enough to connect with artists, makers, storytellers, sustainability advocates, travellers, stylists, and thoughtful humans from all walks of life. Time and time again, we've been asked whether community members can contribute to our Journal, and we're excited to finally open the door!
This space is designed to showcase the voices, stories, ideas, and talents that already exist within our community. Whether you're an experienced writer or simply someone with a unique perspective and a strong writing voice, we welcome thoughtful submissions that align with the values of Renew Bohemian.
What We're Looking For
We are currently accepting pitches and article submissions on topics including:
Slow fashion and sustainability
Conscious consumption and mindful living
Styling guides and outfit inspiration
Tutorials and how-to articles
Opinion pieces and thoughtful commentary
Personal stories connected to fashion, creativity, travel, or self-expression
Artisan crafts, textiles, and traditional techniques
Articles should generally be between 300 and 1,000 words and written in a clear, engaging, and well-edited style.
A Note on Writing Quality
This opportunity is intended for community members who genuinely enjoy writing and feel confident expressing themselves through the written word.
While you don't need to be a professional writer, we are looking for contributors who are comfortable self-editing and submitting work that is polished, thoughtful, and ready for publication.
As this initiative is designed to celebrate human creativity and authentic storytelling, AI-generated submissions will not be accepted.
Photography & Video Content
If you have your own photography or video content to accompany your article, we'd love to see it.
This is completely optional, but original imagery can help bring your story to life and may increase the likelihood of publication.
If submitting visual content, we recommend:
Natural lighting where possible
Clear, high-quality images
Minimal filters or heavy editing
Quiet filming locations for video content
Contributor Bios & Links
Published contributors are welcome to include a short bio along with their article.
You may also provide links to your website, blog, social media platforms, or creative projects that you'd like featured alongside your piece.
Timeline & Submissions
If your pitch is selected, we'll reach out via email with next steps and a proposed publication timeframe.
Contributors will generally have up to four weeks from acceptance to submit their finished article, although we're always happy to discuss timing if life gets in the way.
Once received, our team will review the piece and may make minor edits for formatting, clarity, grammar, or consistency with our brand voice before publication.
How the Process Works
To submit a pitch, please complete the form below and tell us a little about yourself, your writing experience, and the article you'd like to contribute.
You're welcome to submit more than one idea, and we'll keep submissions on file for future opportunities.
While we're unable to publish every piece we receive, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to share their ideas with us.
